Get that Campfire Started
Maggie blogs about camping and family over at Real Family Camping
(@RealFamilyCamping). So it’s very appropriate that the article she wrote, “Homemade camping fire starters put to the test! (hint: the Girl Scouts win.),” included a lot of involvement from her kids! She and her kids tested three different fire starters, from woods chips in medicine paper cups to crayons in egg cartons knows as “Fire Kisses.” This is a great activity to do with your kids if you’re camping! Rebecca over at Outdooress does a blog piece on her recent involvement in the “A Deliberate Live” film. She gives us an inside look on why she did it and what it means to her. She included a number of great photos from the adventure. Her piece, “For Your Viewing: The 18 Minute Version of A Deliberate Life & Behind The Scenes” gives you a look behind the scenes and a little bit about the film. I watched the trailer and have to say it was one of the most engaging videos I’ve seen. I think that every RVer or camper will understand the value of this film. I enjoyed it so much, that I decided to embed in here in the weekly round up! (Tweet This)

Shoes Perfect for Camping or Boondocking
Have you ever got back from a hike and discovered that your shoes are dirty and your socks are wet? While everything is drying, what do you wear? Well Meghan, who writes for the campsiteblog.com, wrote a review, “Pakems – The Lightweight Packable Boot” that provides an answer. She gives a great review on what she likes about Pakems and some things to consider before buying. They have some pretty cool different colors and they look comfortable! On top of that, they are a Colorado company…where I’m from! (Tweet This)
